Ever wondered How Lampwork Glass Beads Are Made?
Each glass bead is individually crafted with great care using Quality Italian Glass.
The glass is heated in a torch flame to a molten state and then wound around a mandrel to create the bead.
Depending on the complexity of the design it can take anything from a few minutes to half an hour or more to create just one glass bead.
Once finished the beads are put into a digitally controlled kiln where they are annealed overnight. This cools the beads very slowly giving them strength and durability.
The next morning they are taken off their mandrels, cleaned by hand and carefully inspected.
Only the very best beads make it into my designs for beautiful jewellery for you to enjoy!
